As a parent, I’m often looking for interesting and inexpensive activities that my brood will enjoy. Going to the movies can cost more than a car payment, and bowling gets boring after a while. It’s chilly at the Zoo this time of year, and Chuck E. Cheese is, to me, the 7th circle of Hell. (My apologies to CEC lovers, but I’d rather pull out my toenails than step foot in that place)
So I was excited when I heard from the people at the Sugarloaf Craft Festival. I had never heard of this event, but I have been a craft show fan since I was a teen. The Sugarloaf Craft Festival has been going on since 1976, and takes place all over the mid-Atlantic region. They are featuring over 300 artisans, who will be displaying everything from pottery, jewelry, home decor, sculpture, and fashion.
One part of the show that I think will be especially fun is the Middle Earth Theater for kids. They’ll get to dress up in costume and be the actors while the storyteller tells their story. There are also musical acts for your enjoyment, as well as gourmet foods to sample and purchase. It really sounds like a fun time!
I am very excited to be able to offer you a chance to attend the Festival for FREE to celebrate the launch of Mommytails.com! I have two pairs of tickets to give away. Simply leave a comment on this post in order to be entered to win or you can Tweet this post and become a fan of Sugarloaf Crafts on Facebook to earn additional entries. Just leave another comment letting me know which of these you did (or both) and links as proof.
Of course, this is a local giveaway, so you’ll have to be able to get to the show in Oaks, PA at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. You can visit the Sugarloaf Craft Festival website for directions. The contest will end at 8PM EST (of course) on Sunday, March 14. I can either mail the tickets, or if you will be at the show at the same day and time as me, I can meet you to deliver them. Good luck!
Many thanks to the folks at Sugarloaf Crafts for providing the tickets for this giveaway!
