Another Mother’s Day has come and gone. Another day to honor the special women in our lives, whether they be our moms, grandmothers, godmothers, aunties, etc. I also think of the single dads out there, going it alone, doing the jobs of both mother and father. Kudos to you all!
I would love to hear and share your funny, touching, and amazing stories of your Mother’s Day. I’ll start off with a few, please email me at mo AT qponcutie DOT com to share your story with me! Enjoy!
Sara V. from Philadelphia shares:
So yesterday the boys surprised me with breakfast….EGGO waffles with chocolate syrup and orange juice…i say “oh my goodness, thank you so much, it looks delicious!” They say, “your welcome, but the waffles are still frozen cause we arent allowed to use the toaster oven” LOL!! Cracked me up!!
Maureen S. from Philadelphia:
My son wanted to make me breakfast, so he pulled out the bowls, spoons, cereal, and milk. He dutifully poured milk into my bowl, but then got bored and let me do the rest. It was too funny, and so typically 6-year-old-boy!
Linda V. of Frugal Philly Mom enjoyed her first Mother’s Day in her new home;
Being married to a firefighter means that we don’t get to celebrate every holiday together and each year is different. This year my husband had day work so Mother’s Day began like any other day. Except that I woke up to 2 beautiful cards. One from my husband and one from my daughter. Both cards brought tears to my eyes.My husband made it home by 6:30 pm that evening with a basket of mums with cards attached to it. Each card had a little message with a “coupon” on the back for things like a back rub, or quiet time.
